La industria de la migración es el conjunto de servicios privados especializados que facilitan, estructuran y sostienen la movilidad humana internacional. Entre los servicios ofertados por los empresarios de la migración están el tráfico y reclutamiento de trabajadores, los préstamos para costear la migración, el transporte de emigrantes, el envío de remesas, la producción de documentación migratoria falsa, la asesoría legal y la comunicación entre los inmigrantes y sus lugares de origen. Este trabajo analiza el caso de empresas informales de camionetas que transportan remesas y pasajeros entre un nuevo destino migratorio en el estado de Georgia y los estados de Guanajuato y Zacatecas. Las camionetas contribuyen a mantener y normalizar nuevos circuitos migratorios y a vincular una clientela ubicada en distintos puntos de la geografía binacional.

Trucks and the migration industry

The migration industry is the set of specialized private services that facilitate, arrange and support human international mobility. The traffic and recruitment of workers, migration loans, the transportation of immigrants, the delivery of cash, the elaboration of fake immigration documents, legal counsel and communication between immigrants and their places of origin are some of the services offered by migration businessmen. This work analyzes the case of informal truck companies that transport cash deliveries and passengers between a new migratory destination in the state of Georgia and the states of Guanajuato and Zacatecas. This trucks help support and restore new migratory circuits and link clients located in different geographic points in both countries.
