Un modelo histórico que se repite

El artículo reflexiona sobre el antagonismo que se presenta en la república mexicana durante la primera mitad del siglo XIX entre el poblamiento del territorio (una de sus necesidades vitales) y la concentración de la tierra en la frontera norte. Ofrece una comparación entre las condiciones de Estados Unidos y las de México. También examina la política de colonización desarrollada por el gobierno mexicano. Toma como caso de ilustración el estado de Chihuahua y concluye con una cavilación sobre las enseñanzas del pasado y sus similitudes con el presente.

A historical model that repeats

This article speaks about the antagonism that shows up in the Mexican Republic during the first half of XIX century, between the territory’s settlement (one of their vital necessities) and land concentration in the North frontier. He offers a comparison between the conditions of United States and those of Mexico. He also examines colonization politics developed by Mexican government. He takes as an illustrative case that of Chihuahua State and he concludes with a deeply thinking about the teaching of the past and its similarities with the present.
