Abstract

The objective of the work is to identify the perceptions of absorptive ca- pacity (potential and realized) and innovation presented by the directors of the Mexican pharmaceutical industry. Therefore, a questionnaire was administered to 164 people in managerial positions of 87 companies in the sector. By means of factorial analysis the variables were formed and later an association analysis was applied, finding a positive association between absorptive capacity and innovation. Concluding that absorp- tive capacity has not been developed in the Mexican pharmaceutical.
