 LINEAMIENTOS DE COLABORACIÓN

1. CONTENIDO

Trayectorias, revista de ciencias sociales, es una publicación semestral de carácter académico. En concordancia con sus objetivos abre espacios a la publicación de artículos inéditos, en español o inglés, que presenten resultados de investigación de alto nivel académico en los diferentes campos de las ciencias sociales y reflexiones o revisiones teóricas que aporten al conocimiento original o generen debates relevantes.

2. REDACCIÓN

Con respeto invariable al estilo de cada escritor, sugerimos: 1) el empleo de construcciones sintácticas sencillas, párrafos preferentemente breves y una coherente articulación entre profundidad teórica, rigor científico y claridad expositiva; 2) el empleo de títulos concisos y reforzados, si es conveniente, por un subtítulo que amplíe y precise el tema, asunto o problema de que se trate.

 3. ESTRUCTURA

1) los escritos deberán estar precedidos por un resumen de  80 a 100 palabras, en español e inglés; 2) se deberán incluir 5 palabras clave; 3) se respetará invariablemente la estructura clásica del ensayo, con fundamentación introductoria, desarrollo y reflexiones conclusivas; 4) los diferentes epígrafes o apartados serán adecuadamente marcados mediante subtítulos; 5) se recomienda el empleo del sistema decimal; 6) las citas textuales se consignarán entre comillas, no mediante cursivas; cuando se trate de citas breves, éstas se mantendrán dentro del párrafo en que se produzca la referencia; si la cita rebasa las 4 líneas, se colocará a bando, con márgenes más amplios, a un espacio y sin entrecomillado.

 4. FORMATO

1) Los trabajos deberán presentarse en formato Word; 2) los gráficos deberán respaldarse aparte, en formato de imagen jpeg (.jpg) o tiff (.tif), con una resolución de 300 dpi, en escala de grises (b/n) y usando un archivo por cada objeto. La revista se publica en blanco y negro, por lo cual no se aceptan ilustraciones o gráficos en color. Los cuadros y tablas deberán incluir información estadística concisa y relevante para los objetivos de la investigación, también deberán respaldarse aparte, preferiblemente en Microsoft Word. Cada archivo deberá ir titulado por el tipo de objeto, su número consecutivo y la página en que queda ubicado (graf02p13.jpg; mapa11p27.tif; fig08p32.jpg; tabla06p02.xls; etcétera). En el texto deberá quedar claramente indicado el lugar donde irá inserto cada uno de ellos; 3) la bibliografía será consignada al final del texto con base en el sistema APA; 4) las referencias bibliográficas dentro del texto se harán de acuerdo al mismo sistema, por lo cual no se consignarán a pie de página. 5) Las notas a pie de página deberán estar limitadas a aquéllas exclusivamente necesarias y no se usarán para comentarios ampliatorios.

5. EXTENSIÓN

Sólo se aceptarán trabajos con un mínimo de 20 cuartillas y un máximo de 30 (entre 36 000 y 50 000 caracteres incluyendo espacios), en fuente Times New Roman de 12 puntos y a doble espacio, tamaño carta.

6. DICTAMEN

1) El Comité Editorial de Trayectorias realizará una evaluación previa de los trabajos para constatar si cumple con las normas establecidas por la revista; 2) Las colaboraciones que se ajusten a estas normas  serán sometidas a doble dictamen por parte de especialistas en el tema tratado. Si uno de los dictámenes es negativo se recurrirá a un tercer dictaminador; 3) Los dictaminadores siempre estarán adscritos a una institución diferente a la del autor. La información sobre autores y dictaminadores será guardada en estricto anonimato; 4) los dictámenes se emitirán, en general,  en el plazo de 4 a 6 meses y el resultado se transmitirá en alguno de los términos siguientes: publicarlo, publicarlo con las recomendaciones que se indican y no publicarlo; 5) Los autores tendrán de 15 a 20 días para la corrección del texto.

7. REMISIÓN DE TRABAJOS

1) Los trabajos deberán enviarse por correo electrónico trayectorias@uanl.mx o bien impresos (y grabados en CD o USB), por mensajería, servicio postal o entregarse personalmente en las oficinas de la revista; 2) no se devuelven originales no solicitados; 3) los autores deberán firmar una carta que garantice la originalidad del artículo, el que no debe estar sometido a ningún proceso editorial en otro medio, y un contrato de cesión de derechos que posibilite la difusión  por cualquier medio de reproducción escrita; 5) la revista se reserva el derecho de realizar los cambios editoriales necesarios; 6) los autores conservarán los derechos de autor ; 7) tres autores es el máximo aceptable por trabajo, en caso de excederse se analizará si corresponde con el esfuerzo detectado en la investigación;  8) es necesaria una reseña académico-biográfica de los autores con una extensión de 10 renglones que incluya referencias a sus dos últimas publicaciones, grado académico, función e institución a la que están adscritos, así como dirección postal, correo electrónico y teléfono.

COLLABORATION GUIDELINES

1. CONTENT

Trayectorias is a social sciences magazine of an academic nature published every six months. To fulfill its objectives, it opens spaces for the publication of unpublished articles, in Spanish or English, which are the result of high-level academic research in different fields of the social sciences and theoretical reflections or reviews that contribute to the original knowledge or generate relevant debates.

2. COMPOSITION

Respecting the style of every writer, we suggest: 1) the use of simple syntactic constructions, preferably brief paragraphs and a coherent articulation among theoretical depth, theoretical thoroughness and clarity in exposition; 2) the use of concise titles reinforced, if appropriate, by a subtitle that expands and point out the subject matter or the issue at hand.

3. STRUCTURE

1) Articles should be preceded by a summary of 80 to 100 words in English and Spanish; 2) articles must contain 5 key words; 3) the structure of the essay will be respected based on an introduction, subject development and conclusions; 4) the different headings and paragraphs will be appropriately marked by subtitles; 5) the use of the decimal system is recommended; 6) quotes shall be entered between quotation marks, not using italics; in the case of short quotations, these will remain within the corresponding paragraph; if the quotation contains more than four lines, it will be placed in a different paragraph with indented margins with no space in between and without quotation marks.

4. FORMAT

1) Papers must be submitted in Word format; 2) graphics must be supported elsewhere as jpeg (.jpg) or tiff (.tif) images with a 300 dpi resolution, in grayscale (b/w) using a file for each object. The magazine is published in black and white; therefore, color illustrations or graphics are not accepted. Charts and tables must include concise statistical information relevant to goals of the research. Charts and tables must be also supported in other files preferably in Microsoft Word. Each file must contain labeled with the type of object, consecutive number and page of location (graf02p13.jpg; mapa11p27.tif; fig08p32.jpg; tabla06p02.xls; etc.) The text should clearly indicate the place where each of these items must be inserted; 3) bibliography will be consigned to the end of the text based on the APA system; 4) bibliographic references within the text will follow the same system, therefore, these will not appear as footnotes; 5) footnotes will be limited to those necessary and will not be used for comprehensive comments.

5. EXTENSION

Papers with a minimum of 20 sheets and a maximum of 30 will be accepted (36,000 and 50,000 characters including spaces), Times New Roman font size 12, double spacing, letter size.

6. EVALUATION

1) The Editorial Committee of Trayectorias magazine will perform a prior assessment of the papers to verify that they meet the standards set by the magazine; 2) submissions that conform to these standards will be subjected to a double assessment by experts in the field. A third evaluator will be used if one is a negative result; 3) evaluators will always be attached to an institution different from that of the author; the information of authors and evaluators will be kept anonymous; 4) evaluations will be issued within 4 to 6 months and they will be released as follows: through publication, publication with the recommendations indicated and no publication; 5) authors will have 15 to 20 days to correct their work.

7. SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES

1) Works should be sent through e-mail trayectorias@uanl.mx or else in hard copy (saved in CD or USB), through courier service, by mail or personally delivered at the magazine’s headquarters; 2) original works are not returned; 3) authors must sign a letter guaranteeing theirs is an original article, that it has not been submitted through any other editorial media; they will also sign an agreement for the cession of rights in order to enable the publication of the article through any written reproduction means; 5) the magazine reserves the right to make the necessary editorial changes; 6) authors will keep their copyrights; 7) no more than three authors will be acceptable for each work, if more, there will be an analysis to decide if the effort detected corresponds to the research; 8) authors must submit an academic-biographic review with a 10 line extension that includes a reference to their last two publications, academic degree, position and home institution as well as mailing address, e-mail and phone number.
