Crisis política en los municipios indígenas

La alternancia en el poder alcanza a los indígenas en tiempos de una grave crisis política. A ellos está dedicado este texto: porque en los municipios se manifiestan no sólo los conflictos entre los indígenas y el Estado, sino aquellos que involucran las relaciones que mantienen los indígenas entre ellos mismos; las formas primarias en que se organizan, se autogobiernan y se vinculan con otras instancias sociales y políticas. La autora sostiene que es sobre todo en los municipios donde se está jugando la posible reconstitución de los pueblos o bien la destrucción del tejido social. La autonomía de los pueblos –concluye- es una manera de fortalecer sus identidades y de garantizar la convivencia entre todos los habitantes de los territorios regionales y de la nación.

Political crisis in indian municipalities

Alternation in power reaches Mexican Indians in times of a severe political crisis. It is them that this paper addresses; whereas not only conflicts with the government have been manifest in these municipalities, but also because the relations between the Indians themselves are also in conflict, namely, the primary ways in which they organize and govern themselves as well as how they relate with other social and political entities. The author asserts that it is mainly  in the municipalities where a possible reconstitution of the peoples or the destruction of the social fabric is at stake. Autonomy –she concludes– is a way to strengthen the identity of the peoples and ensure conviviality among all the inhabitants of regional territories and of the nation at large.
