SIGLO XXI: CAMBIO SOCIAL Y EDUCACIÓN

El presente texto constituye un sumario de razonamientos que el autor propone compartir con los lectores a propósito de lo que él considera la “imagen renovada y desconcertante” de este fin de milenio: la explosión demográfica, las migraciones, las alteraciones climáticas, el fin de la Guerra Fría, la reconversión de la industria, la pobreza, los problemas del desarrollo, la globalización, las nuevas guerras religiosas, étnicas y nacionalistas, los cambios en la productividad, las nuevas formas del trabajo y el empleo, así como los nuevos usos del tiempo libre. Todos estos elementos están dando lugar a situaciones inéditas, sólo parcialmente comprendidas y controladas. En las páginas de esta edición, el autor ofrece una libre reflexión sobre algunos aspectos de esta transformación civilizatoria tratando de identificar las nuevas tendencias que se están realizando.

The present text deals with a summary of reasoning that the author wishes to share, with regard to what he names the “baffling, renewed image” of the end of the millennium: demographic explosion, migrations, climate alterations, the end of the Cold War, the transformation in industry, poverty, the problems in the development of the global viewpoint, the new religious wars, ethnics and nationalism, the changes in productivity, the new forms of employment and work milieu, without leaving behind new forms of employing leisure time. All these elements are bringing forth a continuum of situations only partially understood and kept under control. Within the pages of this text, the author offers an open reflection with regard to some aspects of this transformation in civilization, trying to identify new outcomes in the make.
