Trayectorias de una familia de migrantes urbanos

El texto muestra el impacto que las redes barriales tuvieron en la trayectoria migratoria de una familia de clase media urbana. En el trabajo se presenta el contexto de la migración internacional en las ciudades de San Antonio, Texas, y Monterrey, Nuevo León, así como la manera en que se fueron entrelazando los eventos migratorios de los hermanos Pérez y cómo el rumbo de éstos cambió gracias a las redes barriales que encontraron en la colonia Independencia. El caso presentado funciona para conocer los antecedentes de una familia que hoy realiza un sinnúmero de intercambios de tipo transnacional.

The trajectories of an urban migrant family

The text shows the impact of neighborhood networks on the migrating trajectory of a middle class urban family. The paper shows the international migration context in the cities of San Antonio, Texas, and Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, as well as the way in which the migrating events of the Perez brothers interlinked and how their course changed thanks to the neighborhood networks they encountered in the Independencia neighborhood. This case helps understand the background of a family who is currently carrying out a great number of transnational exchanges.
