Una visión retrospectiva

En este artículo se pretende hacer un sucinto resumen de la historia de la formación profesional reglada (FPR), es decir, la formación para el empleo de los jóvenes que asume el sistema educativo. Los últimos cambios en la política educativa y en las leyes educativas están suscitando debates no sólo en la arena política sino en toda la comunidad educativa. Repasar un poco los antecedentes de cómo se ha ido construyendo el sistema educativo español a lo largo de la historia reciente quizá permita entender mejor la configuración de este sistema educativo, producto de normativas, pero también de la acción de los individuos de forma aislada o colectiva.

This article is an attempt to succinctly summarize the history of regulated professional education (FPR); that is, job training of youngsters undertaken by the educational system. The most recent changes in the education policy and education laws are generating debates not restricted to the political arena, but extending into the academic community. A brief look into the background of how the Spanish education system was assembled in recent history may allow a better understanding of the configuration of the system as a product of legal rulings, as well as of the individual and collective actions taken.
